I live in Devon and teach psychology face to face and online. I am an experienced teacher of Psychology and an associate examiner. I have taught A level psychology for 15 years specialising in small groups and 1-1 lessons. I have also taught students from GCSE to postgraduate level and am experienced in tutoring students with Dyslexia, ADD and mental health issues. Away from the classroom I enjoy camping, walking, sailing, reading and theatre.
I graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in Psychology and went on to complete a certificate in Education with the University of Plymouth. I am an associate examiner and have been a tutor at a tutorial college since 2006. I am a visiting lecturer at the Peninsula Medical School, University of Exeter and was a visiting lecturer in the Psychology department at the University of Exeter teaching Qualitative Research Methods. Previously I have taught on A level, GCSE and Access courses at Exeter College, have been a visiting teacher for the general studies programme at a local independent school, and have worked for the NHS.
I tailor my approach to the individual student; this includes identifying and addressing barriers to learning such as gaps in subject knowledge and understanding, and study and exam skills. Tuition includes the development of revision and exam skills including exam practice
