After over a decade teaching Classics full-time, I now teach part-time and look after my two young sons. I really enjoy tutoring - it's a fun to work one-on-one with students and help them achieve their academic targets.

Tutoring Experience

I've taught Classics - Latin, Greek and Class Civ - at all levels, from beginners to GCSE, A-level and IB. In my current job, I teach Latin and Class Civ up to A-level. I've also been a Head of Department and Head of 6th Form, so I'm used to advising on university applications.

Tutoring Approach

I'm pretty straightforward - there are nuts and bolts that need to be dealt with, and once we've worked out how best to tackle these together, we can have a lot of fun learning, translating and finding out more about the Classical World. I'm a good planner, so you can expect to make steady progress towards your targets, breaking down each step into bite-size chunks.
