I am currently Second in English in an Outstanding state school in SW London and have a First Class degree in English Literature from Durham.

Tutoring Experience

I have 13 years’ experience in two Outstanding schools in SW London. I have also examined for AQA GCSE English Literature and Language, including this year and the current OCR A Level specification. My most recent A Level class achieved 75% A* to A. At GCSE, I’m experienced in teaching the full range of ability.

Tutoring Approach

I work with students to identify areas of strength and weakness and plan a series of sessions to support their progress, in-class experience and confidence. I use my subject knowledge, models and shared reading and writing exercises to strengthen their skills in the relevant areas and to enable students to take responsibility for their own learning. I love my subject and share this enthusiasm with my students.
