Hi! I have recently completed an undergraduate degree in music composition from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. I am also a confident and experienced writer; I recently wrote a theatre show as part of my degree and often write poetry alongside my music. Equally, I am a passionate and knowledgeable historian, having completed a research placement at Lanhydrock House last summer.

Tutoring Experience

As part of my degree, I studied teaching and facilitation. I have led workshops and projects in schools, working with whole classes and small groups. Last summer, I worked with a school for three weeks, devising and rehearsing a musical that I had written about World War 2. Before that, I tutored English to small groups of 9-11 year olds, receiving very positive feedback from parents and my supervisor. As a part of this job, every tutor was required to give individual feedback for each student after every lesson. I ensured that my feedback was detailed and constructive.

Tutoring Approach

I will create a personalised learning plan for you/your child, as I understand that every student has a unique sets of skills and abilities. I aim to make learning fun and engaging through games and activities, particularly for younger students. Furthermore, I am skilled in observation and evaluation, so I will be continously responding to you/your child and adjusting my approach based on these observations.
