I believe learning should be made fun. I always try to take the child's interests and incorporate them into their learning to make it relatable. I love teaching and enjoy working with kids. I am a qualified and experienced Primary teacher who believes learning should be a hands on and enjoyable experience for all ages.
I specialise in teaching KS1 and KS2 core curriculum subjects, including phonics and KS1/ KS2 SATs preparation. I am a qualified teacher and have been tutoring for the last year.
I have worked with children of all ability levels, including gifted and talented learners and SEN learners. I believe that all children are capable of success in many areas, providing they are shown compassion, fairness and belief. I believe in a positive learning environment where children feel comfortable to make mistakes and learn from them. Learning is about confidence and self-belief, and if I can make a difference to the way children feel about learning, its a great feeling.
Not all learners are the same and everyone learns at a different rate. I therefore like to try new approaches to cater to the individual and work at a pace to suit a child, rather than pushing them to try and learn things which theyre not ready for.
