Born in Watford, after leaving school I worked in London commercial art studios for ten years before going to Brighton Polytechnic and achieving a 2-1 honours degree in graphic design/ illustration. I am passionate about drawing and painting and have exhibited in London, Harrow and Watford.
Since qualifying in 2000 I have taught BTEC and A Level in colleges and drawing and painting leisure classes for colleges, councils and also privately. I have frequently provided art courses for mental health charity Mind.
My love of art provides the basis and enthusiasm for teaching. I understand how fear and doubt can inhibit creative expression. I see my role as helping to dispel lack of confidence and show how step by step I can help students improve technique and unleash potential. I have a light hearted personality and empathise greatly with the students individual progress.
