I am a determined, passionate recent First-Class History and Politics graduate from the University of Warwick and am currently studying for a Masters in Public History at UCL. I am enthusiastic about aiding and supporting fellow younger students to achieve their academic goals and ensuring they fulfil their full potential. I am eager to expand my current caseload and aid more students by harnessing my education and employment experiences.
I have been tutoring through two agencies as well as privately, in which I manage caseloads of several students, providing one-to-one tailored lessons for each. I support students with specific homework, coursework, exam practice as well as general skills, to equip them with the tools and confidence o become independent learners and to apply themselves in their next steps, as well as in other subjects they might be taking.
There are no lessons without students, so my students are at the centre and forefront of how I approach the sessions and my teaching. By attending to their needs, adapting concepts and suiting their interests, students are able to be best engaged with the content. Furthermore, I am supportive, understanding and easy-going, meaning I cultivate a positive environment in my lessons, allowing students the room to make mistakes and to grow, instilling confidence in them and allowing a growth mindset to cultivate.
