I have been teaching Mathematics for 32 years in a wide variety of schools (Grammar, Comprehensive, Independent, mixed, all boys, all girls, UK and Overseas schools). I have been Head of Maths at two schools, and I am currently working in a private school.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught KS2, KS3, GCSE, IGCSE, Additional Maths, A level (Pure, Mechanics, Statistics). I am also an examiner and writer for GCSE, IGCSE, A level and IB, which gives me an excellent insight into which areas to focus on for the exams.

Tutoring Approach

I am a patient and understanding teacher, and have the experience to explain concepts in many different ways if need be. I strive to make the subject interesting and relevant, and also aim for my students to reach their full potential ( my last set of GCSE results were 22 A* and 3 A grades). For online tutoring I use 'bitpaper' which is like an interactive whiteboard on which both student and I can write. I find that this work really well for online tutoring.
