I have lived in eight different countries which has been an experience matching my passion for languages. Originally a musician, I completed a second degree in Translation Studies. Now I work as a translator and would like to pass on my knowledge and love for languages to others.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught English in Bulgaria, Russia and Turkey. Recently I have gained experience helping young people with their preparation for the GCSE exams in Russian, German and French.

Tutoring Approach

My impression is that in schools there is not enough emphasis on basics (grammar and simple sentence formation) which does not help a learner's confidence when trying to use the foreign language, express their own thoughts generating sentences of their own.
The syllabi tend to be too ambitious, while some students struggle with simple things.
I would like to make sure people can walk before they learn to fly; the only way they can lay solid foundations to build-up further in-depth knowldedge.
