Experienced and extremely well qualified Maths teacher offers private one to one tutoring lessons for students in Maths.I always try to make my lessons interesting. I have a great rapport with children thanks to the fact that I am patient and know how to explain Maths in a clear way. I create warm and helping environment for pupils, try to interest children with different fun maths applications and do my best to raise their confidence and understanding of mathematics.
As a reward of my hard work over the past few Years I have been appointed as a Subject Leader of Excellence in the local Secondary Catholic School in Coventry from April 2017.
As a result of hard work and experience in teaching KS4 all of my students achieve outstanding results in their GCSE’s far above the national average.
In September 2010 I decided to join Charter Academy in Portsmouth and start a dream career in the teaching sector. I am really keen to work with all pupils, especially those from foreign countries. I fully understand their tough position, as English is not their native language. I have a great rapport with children thanks to the fact that I am patient and know how to explain Maths in a clear way. I always strive to provide individualized support for pupils that are struggling with learning concepts and mathematical topics. During my time at Charter I have also enjoyed working with a variety of teachers, being a valued member of the team. Even though Charter Academy offered me many career opportunities I decided to help improve the quality of teaching in the local Catholic school.
In September 2013 I joined Saint Edmund’s Catholic School in Portsmouth. The school provides a Christian education for children within the discipline and traditions of the Catholic Church. I grew up in the Catholic faith and I know how important is to deliver and develop Christian values among young people giving them the opportunity to achieve their true potential in the future. The colleagues at work describe me as a dynamic, enthusiastic, creative person, always willing to learn and develop, able to perform team work, thorough, well organized, patient, get on well with children. My hard work is recognized by getting outstanding judgments from my lesson observations (the most recent lesson observation feedback sheets attached to the e-mail). I always strive to provide support for the underachieving pupils by organizing after school Maths Clinics (catch up). I offer extra tuition to students after school or at lunch time as well as support department led revision sessions in holidays and at the weekends.
