I am a 19 year old student at the University of Leicester currently pursuing a degree in marketing. I am incredibly passionate when it comes to expressing my creativity, particularly through writing. I also enjoy collaborating with others and creating projects that allow for me to showcase and share innovative ideas with one another.

Tutoring Experience

From working a variety of roles, I have gained valuable experience allowing me to engage and communicate efficiently with children. Through voluntary work partaken whilst I was in secondary school, I was able to assist younger children and learn how to communicate effectively to them whilst accommodating for individual wants and requirements. External environments also enabled me to thrive and build on necessary skills vital for high quality tutoring. Waitressing allowed me to develop admirable time management and communication skills, assisting particular requests from customers whilst ensuring I delivered high quality service. I also worked as a ride operator at Diggerland theme park whereby i learned how to effectively cater for a wide range of children affected by differing behaviour patterns with confidence and optimism. Additionally, my academic achievements, including attaining two A*s in A level Sociology and A level Media, accentuate my commitment to learning my intellectual pursuits.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach is centered around nurturing creativity and instilling confidence within students. I believe that it is incredibly important to create an environment that fosters each students unique abilities and encourages them to explore their creative potential. Rather than passing information, I aim to encourage independent thinking and innovative ideas. I provide support and guidance for students, creating a positive, inspirational space where they can express their ideas with confidence. Recognising how each student engages with my teaching, I ensure to cater for different styles. My goal is to not only impart knowledge, but to encourage higher level thinking whilst ensuring a positive environment is maintained.
