I am a passionate Psychology teacher working as the sole teacher in the Psychology department at a Grammar school in Kent.
I graduated in 2015 from University in Northern Ireland after completing a 4 year degree, (BSc Honours Psychology and Diploma in Professional Practice with Commendation).
I have also obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Education.
Previously, I have several years experience working in mental health, child protection, child exploitation, homelessness & addiction and hospital social services. Providing therapeutic interventions on a one-to-one basis using trauma informed approaches. I believe this enables me to bring real-life experiences to the classroom.
I have worked in both comprehensive and grammar schools teaching Psychology to Y12-13 and PSHE to Y7 through to 11.
I have extensive experience working with young people with a desire to make a difference and support them to achieve their full potential.
Building positive relationships with my students is a very important aspect of teaching. Bringing fun, educative practice to the classroom as well as strong knowledge and understanding of Psychological theories and concepts.
I am a friendly and reliable tutor who is able to adapt sessions to suit the needs of you / your child. Whether that be aiming for a specific grade or to understand a certain topic better, I can help.
