I am a qualified teacher, specialising in KS2 and KS3 education (Junior age 7-11 and Secondary age 11-14). My specialist subjects are English and Maths. I was a classroom teacher and have been tutoring for over 10 years.

Tutoring Experience

My teaching experience varies from KS2 and KS3, across a range of curriculum subjects. I spent 10 years teaching in primary, secondary and middle schools.

Tutoring Approach

I cater for various styles of learners and love to make learning engaging and bring in real life contexts to help children make real-world links to their learning.

My aim is to fill in the gaps in my pupils' learning to help them understand the concepts they encounter in their lessons - I like to know what they are learning in school so I can change their learning to fit.

I love to tutor on a 121 basis as it allows me to work with children in a different context and get to know them as a learner and their strengths and weaknesses. I encourage children to learn the way they want to learn, using their interests to keep them engaged.
