My daughter is extremely happy with Lara’s teaching skills and she is very pleased to have weekly lessons with her .

Both my children have had the pleasure of being tutored by Lara. They key attribute in Lara’s teaching is her connection with the student and knowing what is going to bring the best out in them. My son gained a love of English he hadn’t had before which greatly improved his application of English skills that Lara helped him develop and he flourished as a result gaining a top grade in literature. My daughter has just completed her GCSE’s (2022) with excellent results in English . Through her tutoring with Lara she was able to build her confidence and developed new depths to analysis which also gave her further love of English. Lara’s tutoring not only helped them through the exam requirements but has given them a lifelong love of English which they can apply in their lives in many ways. Lara helped my son going from "strongly disliking" English to stop complaining about it only after a few initial lessons.
Then his GCSE results went from expecting a bare pass to a mark that allowed him to progress with his chosen study path.

Great communication

Lara is currently working with my 15 year old son in his GCSE year. He is enjoying the challenge of working with Lara. He is able to work at his own pace and is showing signs of significant improvement. Direct quote from my son; "she makes the work interesting and easy to understand".

Lara has tutored two of my daughters in English language and literature. One of my daughters is dyslexic and she really appreciated the support and time Lara took to understand her needs and the sensitive way in which her support was delivered. Lara was able to adapt her approach to the different needs of my two daughters and we are delighted to say that both of them were successful in their exams. I would definitely recommend Lara as a tutor.

Lara has helped my son in a way no other tutor could do she would go to further lengths to see my son do well in class aswell as in the exams.
