Lara

I am a singer, pianist, and cellist who studied at Chetham's School of Music for 2 years. I have recently completed a music degree at The University of Manchester specialising in Ethnomusicology and Performance. I am able to teach grades 1-6 Music theory, GCSE and A-Level Music, and general Music Theory. Having finished my own Maths education with A-Level Physics, I am very passionate and skilled in the subject and always enjoy teaching it.

Tutoring Experience

I have 2 years experience tutoring Music and singing. I also have teaching qualifications in English as a foreign language as well as Yoga which both help inform my lesson planning and structure.

Tutoring Approach

I am a sympathetic and supportive teacher. I have a lot of experience and enthusiasm for these subjects and therefore have lots of ideas about how to overcome obstacles. I've learned many different approaches and ideas from my own teachers which I bring to my lessons. Having completed exams within the past decade, I am very confident in the current curriculum and exam technique.
