I am a Psychology A-Level lecturer who has had over 10 year experience both working in outstanding institutions with an inclusive student body as well as tutoring for 8 years privately online and in face to face. I have been headhunted by ‘Tutor2u’ to host and give talks to 100’s of psychology students across the UK to help them with exam technique and the foundations of A-Level Psychology. My range of topics in Psychology for Paper 3 are extensive for a Psychology Lecturer (inclu. Aggression, Stress, Forensics, Schizophrenia, Relationships, and Gender) as well as excellent knowledge for paper 1 and 2, and also having been an examiner for AQA for Paper 2.

Tutoring Experience

2013 – 2021 Peter Symonds 6th Form College (Outstanding) – Psychology lecturer full time including 9 classes of 24 students a week.

2021 – 2022 – Truro & Penwith College (Outstanding)- Psychology lecturer part time including 2 classes a week.

2019 – Current. Tutor2u Psychology Contributor including hosting Grade Booster lectures to 500 students across the UK in a single event. Hosting and lecturing the Stronger Foundations course to 300 students per event across the UK. Devise teacher and student resources for online use and in classroom use. Teach centres online that are without a Psychology lecturer.

2018-2022 – AQA Examiner for Psychology A-Levels – Marking Paper 2 (Research methods, Biopsychology and Approaches)

2015 – Current –Private Tutoring - students mainly online through my own online classroom chosen platform and live ‘whiteboard’ work as well as using ‘live’ documents for tracking and marking work.

Tutoring Approach

Student centred and focused. Holistic teaching encompassing learning obstacles, revision strategies, mental health and concentration difficulties. Champion for students who find college difficult and are not sure what they want to do going forward.
