With over 20 years of experience as a dedicated primary school teacher and tutor, I bring a calm, patient, and supportive approach to every learning journey. I’ve worked with children of all abilities, including those with SEND and ASD, as well as school-reluctant learners, always tailoring my teaching to help each individual grow in confidence and achieve their full potential. I offer specialist support in English and maths, SATs preparation, and 11+ tutoring, creating a nurturing environment where learners feel encouraged, capable, and ready to succeed.
As a friendly, approachable mum of three teenagers, I also understand the ups and downs of school life from a parent’s perspective. I’ve supported children both professionally and personally through SATs and school transitions, and I’m passionate about making learning a positive experience for every child.
I am a qualified primary teacher with over 20 years of classroom and tutoring experience, supporting children across Key Stages 1 and 2. I’ve successfully worked with a wide range of learners, including those preparing for the 11+, children with special educational needs (SEND), autism (ASD), and pupils who are anxious or reluctant to attend school. My broad teaching background allows me to adapt to each child’s needs and help them make confident progress.
My approach is caring, creative, and child-led. I take time to understand each learner as an individual, gently assessing their needs, interests, and learning style. Every session is tailored to build on strengths and target areas for development in a supportive, encouraging environment. Whether through games, discussion, visual aids, or structured tasks, I adapt my teaching to suit the child—making learning feel accessible, meaningful, and enjoyable.
