As a graduate of Warwick University with a 2:1 BA(Hons) degree in English Literature, I have a deep understanding of the subject matter and can provide targeted guidance and support. My approach is tailored to each individual student, and I work closely with them to identify their strengths and weaknesses.

I tutor full-time and am dedicated to helping students achieve the success they deserve. I’ve published revision guides for Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, and Jekyll and Hyde. I also have a social media presence on TikTok where I offer tips and advice to help students prepare for their GCSEs.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked extensively as a private tutor for over 6 years, taught over 3500 hours of lessons and have achieved over 250 five-star reviews. I have an exemplary track record of helping students to achieve and supersede their academic goals.

I have experience supporting students with SEND requirements and have taken home-schooled students through the entire GCSE Language and Literature syllabus.

I also have experience tutoring students for the 11+ and 13+ common entrance exams, so far with a 100% success rate; I can provide a list of schools my students have been accepted into upon request.

Tutoring Approach

I aim to provide an engaging and encouraging environment in which to help your child focus and learn. I will tailor my sessions to your child’s needs allowing them to focus on aspects that concern them most, whether that is the actual content of the syllabus or exam technique.

I think it important to keep tutoring sessions relatively informal as I find direct discussion far more beneficial than the rigid structure of school-taught lessons. I am not going to merely present the content for your child as I believe that does not promote real growth or development. Instead, I seek to give your child the ability and the confidence to discuss and create their own ideas with the background knowledge as their foundation.
