Hi, my name's Laura and my last qualification was a completion of my Masters in Publishing Studies at City University London. Prior to this I completed my undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature at Bangor University. My subject of choice is primarily English Language and Literature (up to A Level standard).

I am a dedicated and very organised individual that strives to work with each of my students on a one-to-one basis to achieve top grades. Tutoring I believe benefits those that struggle in class with a particular subject and also those that just wish to push themselves to achieve the top grades that aren't getting the full one-to-one attention they need at school.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring English at GCSE level for over 10 years and assisted around 20 students. All have been successful in achieving a grade C to A* (grade level 4 to 9 equivalent by today's grading standards).

Tutoring Approach

I begin with a free taster session to initially discover more about the student and where their areas of weakness lie, as well as how they wish to improve. Parents/guardians can also be present for this session, and it will enable me to go away and plan as best as I can for based on each individual's needs.
