I am a German native and fully qualified German teacher with almost 20 years of experience of teaching and tutoring and have been a successful head of department in a big comprehensive school for 6 years. I achieved a first class German and Psychology degree (with honours) and completed my teacher training at the Institute of Education. I am a friendly and approachable person who is passionate about getting pupils to enjoy learning languages as well as helping them to achieve their full potential and beyond. I have a proven track record for outstanding results.
Tutoring Experience
My classroom teaching has always been rated as outstanding. I firmly believe that pupils progress and achieve in a calm and encouraging environment where they are challenged and engaged. I am proud to say that the pupils I teach across all key stages made excellent progress regardless of their ability.
Tutoring Approach
I was brought up bilingually (German/English) and feel that one of my strengths is my ability to break down and explain grammatical concepts clearly in an accessible way. I feel that I am able to build a pupil's confidence so that they are able to succeed. I have vast experience with teaching pupils from all backgrounds and abilities from the ages of 11 to 18.
