Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching and tutoring since 2009, was made Head of Psychology at my school in 2013, and have an excellent record of getting the best from my students, with the majority exceeding their target grades. I also have multiple years experience examining A level Psychology.

My specialism is AQA Psychology (AS and A level) and I have excellent knowledge of the specification and a huge bank of resources I can share. I also use the “green haired girl” textbooks with my own students, so if you are familiar with those then I’ll discuss the specific studies and evaluation issues that you have already been taught at school.

As an examiner, I know exactly how to answer each type of exam question (including 16 mark essays) and can teach you to quickly identify what is needed and how to make the most of your time in the exam. I can also help you avoid the common mistakes students make which cost them marks.

Please note: I am an AQA specialist and am not accepting students studying other exam boards at this time.

Tutoring Approach

My lessons are personalised to the needs of the student. For example, if you have exams coming up soon I can provide condensed content revision, as well as exam skills practice.

Or if you’ve struggled with a particular topic (or missed a lot of lessons for it) then I can teach it to you at a pace you’re comfortable with, using a variety of techniques including discussion, worksheets and exam questions.

My prices are:
£40 for weekday daytimes
£50 for weekday evenings
£80 for weekend mornings
