I'm a motivated and friendly tutor with offers from four UK medical schools, with a passion for helping other succeed. I have a strong academic background receiving all A*'s at GCSE and predicted all A*'s for A-level. I particularly enjoy breaking down complex topics into clear explanations and believe every student can build confidence and excel in science with the right guidance! Outside of academia I enjoy painting, playing the violin and volunteering with scouts which has helped me to develop strong communication in aiding young people to learn new skills and aim to bring that same encouragement into every tutoring session.

Tutoring Experience

I've worked with students at both GCSE and A-Level, helping them prepare for exams, understand difficult concepts and develop strong revision strategies through hosting revision sessions. I'm confident working with a range of exam boards including WJEC, AQA, Eduquas and OCR, and i am able to tailor my teaching to fit the specific needs of each student.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is patient, clear and personalised. I start by understanding the students needs in terms of their strengths, weaknesses, expectations and their goals. I explain topics in a straightforward way, and often used analogies and active recall techniques to make the content stick. I also offer flashcards that have been created directly from the specification and notes summary pages. I regularly use past paper questions and exam-style tasks, to not only strengthen understanding but to put this into practice which is what will aid them to get top marks. Most importantly, I aim to create a comfortable and encouraging environment where students are able to ask questions, make mistakes and genuinely enjoy and engage with the subject.
