I am a friendly, patient, fully qualified mathematic teacher with 6 years teaching experience. Not only do I focus on progress with mathematics but I also aim to increase confidence and enjoyment with the subject. I am currently on Maternity leave so I am currently available for online session and will be available for in person sessions in the new year.
I have experience teaching in a range of comprehensive schools teaching a variety of students from age 11 to 18. During my time teaching I have worked with small groups for intervention sessions and completed 1 to 1 tuition with selected students. I have experience working with many students with different abilities and needs.
I work with the student to assess their current knowledge level, from this I can build upon their abilities and focus on the areas they find difficult. I aim to help them increase their confidence and skills within mathematics. I also work alongside the curriculum to aid students' understanding with their current classwork as well as helping students to decode the new style GCSE problem solving questions and develop their vital exam technique. As a teacher I know the best way to improve mathematical skills is practice. I keep personalised files for all my students tracking the progress and topics covered.
