A specialist in 11+ and 13+ examination preparation, I have 25 years of teaching experience with a wealth of knowledge about how ensure your child has the best chance in being admitted to your school of choice. I am proud of how many children I have helped succeed. It is imperative to teach in a variety of ways and establish the best learning style for each individual pupil. Past pupils have all improved their scores, and I not only teach content but also how to navigate the assessments to maximise success. With improved confidence comes improved results. Helping students overcome barriers to learning and seeing the progress they make are the things I still enjoy the most about teaching. I am genuinely passionate about my subjects and in seeing learners reach their potential. I too enjoy the challenge of mastering new things and embracing the notion that you never ever stop learning.
My name is Lee Woodward and I am a qualified teacher with 25 years of teaching experience. I have worked predominantly in independent schools with significant time spent in mainstream schools too and have experience in primary, secondary and 'all-through' settings. I specialise in delivering 11+ and 13+ examinations facilitating the admission to many excellent grammar schools, independent day and boarding schools. I also have an excellent knowledge of many schools and those I do not know I research and find out what 'extra' they may be looking for. I have a huge amount of knowledge of what pupils need to succeed when studying to pass Entrance Examinations. Throughout my career I have always embraced new ways to teach and learn. I use traditional teaching methods and blend them with interactive online teaching and learning techniques. I find that all pupils improve when their time is spent with me. Their scores and grades improve and crucially, so does there overall confidence. Confidence really is key!

There are multiple benefits of learning online. Many students and families enjoy the flexibility online learning gives as resources and work can be shared easily and lessons recorded if desired. Extra work can be set and feedback given online, verbally and written, and saved for reference. I have many years of experience delivering online tuition. The pandemic made many people embrace and deliver online learning. During this time, I delivered a variety of lessons online to ensure all students continued their education throughout this time. I have explored many different ways of teaching online and believe it to be a very powerful and effective way to learn.
