I am a qualified primary teacher and live in the Wombourne in South Staffordshire. I am married with two sons. I have a real passion for learning and enjoy passing on my knowledge to children, delivering interactive and engaging lessons. I am DBS checked.
I have been teaching children in primary schools for the last 8 years. My experience in school has been in both Key Stage 1 and 2. Through high expectations and challenging my pupils, a very high percentage of children in my classes achieved or surpassed the standards in Reading, Writing and Maths. Through changing my work pattern to part time through a supply agency, I have been able to gain experience working in a vast range of Primary Schools teaching a wide range of children in all age groups.
My main aim is to identify individual pupils strengths and make the most of these to allow us to target gaps in their learning; every child is different so each child will have their own learning plan that is tailored to their needs and will be adapted when needed. I am a very patient, friendly person which helps put children at ease from the very first session. I always plan my sessions thoroughly so that I can individually tailor each session to suit the child’s learning styles. I think it’s very important to make learning fun so I always incorporate variety into the session as well as educational games as much as possible. I have high expectations for my pupils which enables them to reach their full potential.
I work weekdays from 4 o clock.
