I have 5 years of experience tutoring physics and maths during my time at University, as well as 3 years experience privately tutoring SQA exams to students around the Angus area.

Tutoring Approach

I teach a study strategy which was taught to me by my own private tutor when I was in high school, which I also used to get my first class M.Sci in astrophysics. The strategy allows for rapid identification and improvement of weak spots to maximise exam result, and optimise time spent studying. Through experience I've seen this strategy provide noticeably improved results.

I'm extremely patient and will go out of my way to ensure students have all the support and resources they need to succeed, and solid direction and guidance to get there.

I have a natural ability to explain complex concepts in a way students can find accessible and easy to understand.

I prefer in-person lessons as this allows for a more direct transfer of knowledge and understanding through a more personal relationship.

I also provide guidance on simple strategies to improve brain performance as this is something students are not taught - such that they can think clearly during study and exams to maximise performance.
