I am a home educating mother of two, who is passionate about everything I do. I believe that every child is talented and bright, and that with the right approach they can all achieve their dreams and prosper. I know that all kids are different, and that some do not, and never will, fit in the box, and I do not expect them to, but I always strive to reveal to them the power of their own brain and will.
For those interested in Russian lessons, I am also a native Russian speaker (and just in case you wonder, both my children are fluent in Russian).
I teach online via zoom or, if you prefer face-to-face teaching, I can do it at my own house. Unfortunately, at the moment, I cannot offer to come to you, but that might change in the future, so please enquire.

Tutoring Experience

I am a qualified teacher and have been teaching my two children and many of their friends for at least 10 years now, in all sorts of arrangements - from science clubs to individual tutoring. In the last few years, as they grew older and more independent, I decided to start making a living of tutoring and have been concentrating on maths, Russian and English as foreign language, including help with academic writing, IELTS, and TOEFL, with a number of successful GCSE passes under my pupils’ belts.
Mist recently, I started tutoring Business English (please enquire if interested as it’s not listed on the profile).

Tutoring Approach

I aim to develop independent thinking and the ability to work independently and to think out of the box, whenever possible. I think it is imperative to tailor any teaching process to the needs and abilities of each particular child. This means, I will not push a child who is not ready and lacks confidence, but instead, will aim at developing their confidence first. And those who I think are ready, I will push to discover their own powers, to broaden their horizons and to think critically wherever and whenever possible. And I like a good laugh, because it helps everyone relax and tunes the brain to take in more knowledge more easily!
