I am currently a Head of Computer Science and Head of Sixth Form with a BSc in Multimedia Technology/Computing. I currently teach GCSE Computer Science with outstanding success. I am passionate about pupil progression and enjoy teaching. As a person I am very approachable with excellent intra-personal skills.
Tutoring Experience
As a Head of Department and Teacher of Computer Science I am responsible for the learning and academic progress of over 1000 students. I am accountable for their attainment and strive to ensure every student is catered for; allowing them to achieve their potential regardless of boundaries, obstacles or challenges. I have taught in a variety of secondary schools and have experience of teaching students from a wide range of backgrounds.
Tutoring Approach
I use tried and tested resources which are interactive and fun to work through with students. My exact approach to delivering these resources will depend on the strengths of individual learners. My aim will be to implement rapid and sustained understanding of key principles and prepare tutees for upcoming examinations.
