Lilufa

I am a freelance journalist for The Guardian and have worked with many other national newspapers including The Sunday Times and The Daily Mirror. I studied Media and Cultural Studies at The University Of Arts London (formerly known as The London College Of Printing). I have a postgraduate qualification in Journalism from City University.

My hopes are to support students with their studies, self-confidence and preparation for exams and assignments. I am very goal-driven and a hard-working person and my aim is to help my students become like this too.

I will provide quality tuition in the following areas : Media studies,Journalism,Sociology, English, Religious studies and general study skills.

Based in East London, I am happy to deliver home tuition, but if need be, I will be available over Skype too.

I am very creative with my lesson plans, so rest assured you will have fun during my lessons but learn and get a lot out of them too!

Tutoring Experience

I have worked with young people before as a supervisor for a digital training company. I helped students in delivering pitches and proposals. I also assisted and supported their personal development, helping each student with enhancing their knowledge and confidence. In addition,I have also mentored young people whilst I was at college as a learning advocate. Furthermore, I have been teaching for the last 12 years and really enjoy influencing students to achieve great heights! I currently work as a case worker and have been previously worked as a youth worker too, which I really enjoy.
