Hi everyone,
My name is Lindsey and I am a primary school teacher. I currently work in year 5 but have worked across the primary age range. I hold a history degree and a PGCE in primary teaching. I have led phonics and spelling and am currently the history lead at my school. I have previously worked as a fast track intervention teacher and have a current enhanced DBS check.
If you have any questions and would like to know more or feel I would be a suitable tutor for your child please contact me.
I qualified as a primary school teacher in 2012 and have been based full time in schools since then. I have taught across the primary age range. I hold a PGCE in primary teaching and a BA degree in History. I have taught SATS years and administered the phonics screening check. I hold a qualification in understanding autism. I have tutored for 10 years and every tutoring experience is different which is why I enjoy it!
My approach is very much child. I like to ask the child how they like to learn and use that as a platform to start from. I like to make sessions as fun and engaging as possible while still encouraging the child to reach their full potential. I am flexible and adapt teaching throughout sessions as this is often needed to ensure a child makes rapid progress.
