Hi I'm Lottie and I am a dedicated and passionate science teacher with extensive experience teaching Chemistry from KS3 up to A Level, as well as KS3 and GCSE Biology and Physics. With a degree in pharmacy, a science PGCE, and A Levels in Chemistry and Biology, I bring a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to my teaching. My journey into education began as a teaching assistant, and I have since developed a strong commitment to helping students achieve their full potential. Whether tutoring in person or online, I strive to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
I have been teaching science for several years, specialising in Chemistry at the KS3, GCSE, and A Level stages. I have taught both combined and separate sciences at GCSE and students at all levels. My background includes working in a pharmacy, which provided me with practical insights into the application of scientific principles, and serving as a teaching assistant, where I gained invaluable experience in classroom management and student support. My professional journey has equipped me with a deep understanding of the curriculum and effective teaching strategies tailored to individual learning styles.
My teaching approach is student-centered, focusing on building a strong foundational understanding of scientific concepts. I use a variety of teaching methods, including practical experiments, interactive discussions, and problem-solving exercises, to make learning science both enjoyable and effective. I believe in fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere where students feel comfortable to ask questions and engage deeply with the material. By adapting my lessons to meet the unique needs of each student, I aim to inspire a lifelong interest in science and empower my students to achieve their academic goals.
