I am a passionate and experienced music composer and educator, dedicated to inspiring students of all ages and abilities to discover their musical potential. With a background in composing for theatre, film, and media, I bring a wealth of professional expertise to my teaching practice.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Songwriting and Composition, and I’m currently working towards an MA in Music Composition for Film and Television. My professional journey has included creating bespoke music scores for theatrical productions and collaborating with directors to bring their visions to life through music. I am also a member of Ivors Academy’s Early Careers Council, where I advocate for emerging composers and underrepresented voices in the industry.
As a teacher, I prioritise making music accessible, engaging, and enjoyable. My lessons are tailored to individual goals, whether that’s learning technique on an instrument, preparing for exams, or composing original pieces. I strive to create a supportive and dynamic environment where students can grow their skills, explore their creativity, and develop a lifelong love for music.
Outside of teaching, I am committed to my own growth as a musician, consistently engaging in professional development and expanding my creative horizons.

My teaching approach is student-centered, adaptable, and creative. I believe that every student is unique, and I tailor my lessons to suit their individual goals, interests, and learning styles. Whether my students are aiming to pass exams, play their favorite songs, or compose their own music, I strive to create a supportive and inspiring environment that makes learning enjoyable and fulfilling.
I focus on building strong foundations in technique and theory while encouraging creativity and self-expression. My lessons combine structured learning with engaging activities, such as improvisation, composition, and playing along with favorite tracks, to make music both fun and meaningful.
For younger learners, I incorporate games and storytelling to keep lessons dynamic and interactive. For advanced students, I delve deeper into topics like composition, arrangement, and advanced theory, offering insights into the practical aspects of creating music for different mediums.
Above all, I aim to nurture a lifelong love for music in my students, empowering them to develop confidence, discipline, and creativity through their musical journey. By fostering a positive and encouraging learning space, I ensure that each student feels supported as they grow and achieve their musical aspirations.
