I have over 10 Years of teaching experience at some of the country's top grammar schools and have achieved excellent results across entrance exams to A-Level. I have a 2:1 BA(hons) Classics degree from Durham University, after which I stayed to gain my Secondary teaching PGCE.
I now run a full time private tutoring business, teaching a range of age groups and abilities, including international and mature students.
Over 10 Years of classroom experience, including Teacher and Deputy Head of Key Stage Four at Tonbridge Grammar School, Teacher and Head of CPD at Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys and Head of History at The Skinners' School. I have been twice rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted and have experience of teaching the full age and ability range. I have extensive a experience of working with pupils with AEN, especially ASD and Dyslexia. My Value Added scores are excellent.
I have been a Private Tutor for many years and have a wide portfolio of students in terms of age, need and ability. I offer English Language, English Literature, History and Classics to A-Level, as well as entrance exam and scholarship preparation. I also offer a marking and proof-reading service. I have experience of teaching international students English Literature and English Language to support their studies and am highly adaptable to my clients' individual requirements.
Thy key to private tuition is to get to know the academic and personal traits of each student and give individual, focused help and feedback to both the student and their parents.
I have a very strong track record of examination results and can provide excellent references on request. For the last three years, all, bar one of my 11+ students passed the Kent Test and 90% of my GCSE and A Level students exceeded their target grades.
