Hello! My name is Louise and I am a friendly, positive and enthusiastic person. Since graduating with Outstanding in my Primary Teaching PGCE, I have over five years of teaching experience across three different countries. My holistic approach to teaching led me to complete two Masters qualifications in Psychology and Health Psychology; providing me with a theoretical understanding of social and emotional development which allows me to better support my pupils.
While teaching both in the UK and abroad, I have worked across all primary school year groups. I also have vast experience as a supply teacher where I have worked with a variety of children in a range of different settings. This has included children with additional learning needs and those where English is not their first language, where I have successfully adapted my teaching accordingly and children have made great progress.
I have been tutoring individual students for over three years and have seen excellent progress. For me, the benefit of individual tutoring is having the time to support students in the specific areas they need to focus on and continue to build on their confidence and knowledge in order to develop their own learning and progression.
I have an interactive approach to teaching, using games and visuals to make learning fun and encourage child engagement. I find this approach facilitates memory and understanding and helps promote a life time love of learning. I pride myself on making learning as clear as possible and challenge pupils to reach their potential. I tailor all my lessons to the individual interests and needs of my pupils, which I believe is vital in order to increase enjoyment, attainment and continued development. I teach all primary curriculum subjects and believe strongly in individualising lessons to draw and build upon the current skill set of the student in order to help support their development. Please send me a message and I will be delighted to discuss how I can support your child on their learning journey.
