I am a creative and inspiring Qualified Secondary Teacher of Mathematics. I work hard to motivate students to achieve their very best and have helped numerous students through their GCSE's and A-Levels. I believe that confidence is the key to promote a love of learning which in turn leads to success.
I have been on CPD courses tailored to the new GCSE and A Level curriculum, helping me teach the new content and approaches required for the specifications. I have my own resources and workspace at home, although I am also happy to travel to you if within reasonable distance.
I am currently teaching online via Skype, google hangouts and Zoom and also face to face.
I am a qualified Secondary School Teacher of Mathematics. I have 8 years of teaching experience with 11 - 18 year olds, KS 3, GCSE and A-Level studying from the OCR, Edexcel and AQA specifications, including the international GCSE.
I have also been a GCSE exam marker for 5 years for all three exam boards. In addition to school teaching, I have been a private tutor for students aged between 8 and 18 for the last 5 years.
I understand the importance of the key skills in Maths, which pop up across so many different topics. Once these are ingrained, students must get accustomed to applying these to any situation, working out for themselves which skills are required as questions are much more open and unstructured now. It is crucial for students to be able to confidently approach integrated and problem solving questions, given in the GCSE and A-Level specifications. My goal is to facilitate confidence, creativity, resilience and determination in all students to help them achieve their full potential.
