My name is Lydia, I am a friendly female Biology Tutor based in the Oxfordshire area. I am passionate about making Biology an understandable and exciting subject for my students. I am a qualified Bachelor of Science with a Degree in Biology graduating from the University of Southampton.

Tutoring Experience

Since earning my degree in 2018 I have gained 5+ valuable years experience working at management level within the Biotechnology sector overseeing the operations of a medical laboratory and training a large team of technicians to work both confidently and independently. I now offer my skills to teach KS4 students to move confidently through exam season which I understand can be a stressful time.
In addition to my practical/industry experience I am currently tutoring IGCSE Biology from my home (online) which I find highly rewarding.

I break down tough topics into simple, engaging lessons tailored to each student’s unique learning style. I’m committed to fostering a supportive and interactive learning environment where you feel confident asking questions and deepening your understanding.
I am a friendly and approachable tutor, with a vested interest in not only my students examination grades but their overall experience of GCSE study.
