Hi! I'm Maisie, an experienced Maths teacher and tutor in Worcestershire with a real passion for helping students feel confident and capable with numbers. I believe that everyone has mathematical potential within them, and I want to help young people unlock it and find that light switch!
For over four years, I’ve supported a wide range of students whilst teaching secondary Maths in a large comprehensive. I have worked with students with additional needs and EAL students, always taking a nurturing approach tailored to each individual. I’ve also tutored throughout my teaching career and have built up a track record of happy students and great references. I'm happy to share my CV or my references!
Strong results go hand in hand with genuine understanding. That’s why I prioritise deep learning and steady progress. My approach is inclusive, relaxed, and tailored to each student. I know how real and common Maths anxiety can be – no matter your level – and I believe in creating a calm, supportive space (with a splash of humour!) where you can build confidence and maybe even start to enjoy Maths! I operate through zoom when online and am happy to meet in-person students in libraries, coffee shops or in their homes. Students get an account with MathsPad, and I offer lots of links and resources to help. I am also happy to send over all of my safeguarding certificates and qualifications so you can feel confident in your tuition.
