I am a caring, friendly person who enjoys supporting others to develop their skills and confidence. I particularly enjoy analysing literary texts, discovering the etymology of words and learning new languages (I speak fluent Greek and I am learning Spanish and Italian).
I have taught in a variety of educational settings, both in the UK and abroad, working in mainstream and independent schools, including with special needs students. I started my career working with primary aged students, then moved into the secondary school sector. Overall, I have had over 20 years of teaching experience.
I always aim to be calm and patient as I understand how stressful and exhausting it can be for some students to gain understanding of subjects that they find difficult. I aim to make students feel comfortable with me so that they are not afraid to make mistakes as I believe this is natural, and an important part of the learning process.
