Qualified French and Italian Tutor and author of widely-used French textbooks in British schools. A native French speaker from Paris, I moved to London 30 years ago and have been teaching ever since. Over the years, I have developed my own method of learning French, incorporating memory tricks and logical language structures. My method has been recognised and recommended by the Times Educational Supplement. My memory tricks are at the heart of my teaching and make language learning more accessible, engaging and effective for all ages.
I specialise in preparing students for a wide range of exams including Common Entrance, GCSE, IGCSE, A level, IB and university-level assessments. I also work with adults looking to learn or refine their French and Italian language skills.
I am known for my friendly, warm and enthusiastic approach, helping students build confidence and achieve excellent results. My goal is to make language learning not just achievable but enjoyable for everyone.
. Worked with students from a variety of schools: Wimbledon High School, St Paul's school, Sutton High School, Surbiton High School, Donhead Preparatory School, Marymount International School, Rokeby, Willington, Ricards Lodge High School, King's College School, Westminster School.
. Delivered Italian GCSE classes at Wimbledon High School for two years.
. Taught French and Italian in leading companies including Goldman Sachs, Sony, Ubisoft and ICL.
. Established a French club for primary students at Park Community School in Morden.
. Former examiner for the French Baccalaureate.
. Trained primary and secondary school teachers in language teaching.
My teaching approach revolves around the use of memory tricks and idea associations to simplify complex language rules and vocabulary.
For example:
- cacher (to hide) - Imagine you hide your 'cash'.
- cher (expensive) - Expensive things are easier to 'share' with others.
I tailor my lessons to suit each student's needs, focusing on building fluency and mastering exam techniques for boards like Edexcel and AQA. My innovative method of teaching enables students to break down language barriers, build confidence and achieve excellent results.
