I am a professional and experienced IB and A-Level Economics teacher and IB examiner. I am currently teaching at a top London independent school. I have a degree in Economics from Athens, Greece (I ranked in the top 3% of my cohort) and a masters in Management Science and Operational Research from Warwick University. I have undertaken many trainings to become an even more experienced and successful A-Level and IB Economics teacher.

In my school that I teach 100% of the A-Level students scored A/A* and 100% of the IB students received a 7 (Summer 2021 exams).

Tutoring Experience

As a highly qualified teacher I have taught IB Economics for the past 13 years and A level Economics for the past 6 years in three top private schools. Moreover, I have been tutoring online students from diverse backgrounds during this 13 year teaching period.

I have been an IB examiner for the past 10 years so I know the skills that a student needs to have in order to obtain top marks.

Tutoring Approach

My main tutoring approach is to make economics fun and easy to understand (and to make students realise that it is the best subject out there). I can't adopt one tutoring approach, as each student has different needs. My lessons are very lively and I always introduce real world examples to make lessons easier to follow and fully understand. Moreover, I teach my students specific exam techniques via answering past paper questions in order to score higher on their tests and exams.
I am a strong supporter of active learning and spaced repetition. The more my students practice efficiently and the more spaced their repetition becomes, the more likely they are to encode this information into their long-term memory.
