I have recently retired from the Accountancy Profession and I am now tutoring a small number of students as I am passionate about helping young people maximise their potential as a stepping stone in building their future career. I limit the number of students I work with to allow me to focus on the individual needs of each student

Tutoring Experience

In recent years I have tutored a number of family members, friends and neighbours with GCSE Maths and Statistics and A-Level Maths. It was immensely satisfying to see them all exceed what they expected when we started working together and get great grades (GCSE grades 7 to 9s and A-Level grade A’s)

Tutoring Approach

First and foremost my aim is to maximise the grades achieved by my students. I will aim to build confidence and competence, so that by the time of the exam each student is thoroughly prepared to perform at their best. I will do this by focusing on
1. Lots of practice questions and past exam papers
2. Improving the specific areas that each individual struggles with
3. Improving exam technique
Throughout the process it is essential to build a rapport with the student to ensure our work is targeted to improve weaknesses and supplement the work they are doing at school.
Since rapport is essential I will provide the first lesson free of charge.
