Do you know someone who needs a little boost in A Level Maths?
Maths has to be one of the most rewarding subjects to study at A Level, but the step-up from GCSE can be a huge knock to a student's confidence. Everyone needs a little extra help from time-to-time, and in Maths this can mean filling in gaps from GCSE, being supported through a particularly tricky topic, or coaching for the exams at the end.
I provide tutoring for AS and A Level Maths and AS and A Level Further Maths, for all exam boards.
Since achieving a PhD in mathematics at Durham University, I have gained over a decade of experience teaching in and managing mathematics departments in inclusive, diverse schools and sixth form colleges all rated Ofsted Outstanding. I have taught students who have progressed to Oxbridge, as well as students who have studied Maths alongside BTECs who have progressed to university, apprenticeships and employment.
Having been nominated for national teaching awards and being featured in teacher recruitment advertisement campaigns, I now work as a consultant within Higher Education, supporting STEM educators and their students around making the leap from studying at one level to the next, and teaching students one-to-one, as well as in lectures and workshops. With a history of leading teams to develop innovative teaching, support and coaching online, I am now available to offer this support directly to A Level Maths students through private tuition in my free time.
