Martin has gone above and beyond of what anyone hopes in a tutor for their child. My son was not doing well at maths at all, and hated it alll together. What Martin has done is what I thought not possible. My son from his first lesson with Martin told me "I get it, I finally get it". My son's work not only improved, but he decided to choose Maths as an Alevel! Martin has been wonderful, always communicating with me after every lesson, organises specific lessons tailored to my son, and throughout been very kind and understanding. My son's confidence has grown, and nothing can compare to how wonderful that is for a parent to see. I cannot recommend Martin enough. Thank you Martin for all you have done, and I hope we carry on with you as we look forward to these Alevel years.

Good tutor but not well for my daughter needs

Martin is a excellent tutor. He is exceptionally patient and motivating.

Martin has fantastic tips on how to work out equations and is creative in his teaching.

I highly recommend Martin as a maths tutor.

If he could teach me algebra, he could teach anything.

Martin improved our son’s confidence & interest in maths again . He was very reliable & thorough with his knowledge & instructions. He set tasks & provided past papers when needed in certain areas. Martyn has been my sons online Maths tutor for over 3 months and is reliable, patient, flexible, adapts lessons around sons needs, good lessons plan, sets optional homework and provides feedback after each lesson. My son was immediately comfortable and could understand Martyn from lesson one.

Since our son started having Martin as his tutor , his confidence and test results have both improved. Martin’s teaching style is friendly and calm and I would highly recommend him.

Martin has been a great support and teacher to our son. My son found him easy to get along with and always reported back to us after each session how helpful it had been. His sessions with Martin have definately enhanced his learning and understanding and in turn his confidence. He has had his year 10 mocks and his predicted grade has improved by two grades. Martin was always flexible and amenable and always reported back to us what was worked on and how the session had gone. We will be using Martins services again in the future. Thank you

Martin has been tutoring our son Ross since the 27th August and in this time we have been delighted with the guidance and support that he has provided on a weekly basis.

Initially Ross was hesitant about having private maths tuition as he lacks confidence in his ability. However since his first lesson with Martin we have seen his confidence and motivation grow immensely to the point where he looks forward to both his school lessons and private tutoring sessions with Martin. Even his school teachers have noticed his maths knowledge, understanding and confidence increase. Martin quickly established which areas Ross needed the most help with regarding his curriculum and tailors the weekly tutoring sessions to meet Ross' needs.

We would recommend Martin without any hesitation and feel that his tutoring is of great value in preparing Ross for his upcoming GCSEs and beyond.

My daughter was predicted Grade 3+ for her GCSE in Maths.
Unfortunately for Martin covid restrictions prevented him from ever meeting my daughter & from August until May they relied on Skype/Teams to have their lessons.
Initially my daughter’s Teacher said that she had no confidence in class & would pretend she understood.
Within 3 sessions with Martin her Teacher reported that it was like having a different child in Class. She was confident, asked questions & understood.
Due to covid all students grade predictions plummeted following assessments. Because of having Martin teaching her, my daughters didn’t. The Teacher told me that Martin was making a huge difference & to thank him.
My daughter really enjoyed learning Maths with Martin. Despite never meeting him, she liked him & his style of teaching.
My daughter got a Grade 4 pass in Maths.
My daughter now enjoys Maths…… finally.
We cannot thank Martin enough for making what was an unpleasant subject for my daughter, enjoyable.

Mr is a kind, thoughtful and generous man who knows how to teach maths both effectively and thoroughly. He makes learning complex maths such as trigonometry, easy with detailed explanations and practice questions to consolidate learning even more. If help is needed, he is very approachable and explains in a concise manner. Would recommend for any student.

Martin has been 100% reliable, punctual and willing to accommodate slight changes to lesson time when needed. He is calm but very positive in his approach to teaching and my daughter has gained so much confidence in maths since Martin has been tutoring. I would highly recommend.

Martin tutored my son to retake his maths gcse. He was punctual and always gave detailed feedback after every session. He had a good rapport with my son and really helped him to pass the November retake. Well worth the money and I would highly recommend him.
