I am an English teacher with a PhD in French Studies from the School of Languages and Cultures at the University of Sheffield. I currently offer private English lessons to both adults and young learners.
In addition to English, I am fluent in French, and I specialise in French tutoring for students preparing for exams such as GCSEs and A-Levels. My background includes extensive experience working with children of all ages—as a tutor, classroom assistant, and nanny.
Born and raised in London, where I still live, I have a love of traveling and have spent significant time abroad, including a year in Paris. In my free time, I enjoy dance, playing football, going to the cinema, and cooking.
I have over 2 years of experience teaching English at private language schools in Spain and in England to adults and children of all levels (A1-C2).
I am CELTA-qualified and I teach through the 'communicative' method, which uses authentic teaching materials (e.g. newspaper articles) and works to build confidence so you can communicate fluently.
The lessons focus on developing a range of skills including grammar, listening, speaking, reading, vocabulary and writing. Each lesson is personalised to your needs and interests.
Through my own experience of learning French and Spanish, I have developed a deep understanding of the difficulties and joys of learning a language, and I am confident that I can help you on your journey to learning English!
