Hey there! I'm 29 years old and currently studying an MSc in Global Ecology and Conservation at Cardiff University. I completed my first degree (Zoology) at the University of Bristol in 2018, and have been tutoring A Level Biology ever since. My academic background spans my two passions, science and nature, and I love to teach a variety of subjects centred around these themes.
Outside of teaching and study, I'm a keen footballer, traveller, and musician!
I currently work full time along my studies as Learning Manager for the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and have worked previously as a lecturer at Swansea University in Environmental Awareness. These roles have allowed me to express my passion for teaching, regularly designing and delivering educational workshops to private/public groups, regarding nature and the environment.
I have extensive tutoring experience (since 2018), both privately and for tutoring organisations such as MyTutor and Rugby Education in A level Biology/Chemistry and GSCE Science/Maths (both online and in person), working with a wide variety of students/learning styles and exam boards.
I enjoy combining a relaxed, friendly approach with a thorough knowledge of the subject at hand. I think it's extremely important that the student feels reassured through both the personality and ability of their tutor.
I prefer to tailor my learning style to individual talents and needs, but generally enjoy working through problems together with the student and sparking friendly discussions around the subject. I believe in regular recall of the material and prioritise applying knowledge to past paper questions in order to fully prepare for exams.
