With fourteen years teaching experience in primary schools in London, Spain and Panama, I am ideally placed to boost your child´s ability in Reading, Writing and Maths. As a classroom teacher, I received regular "Outstanding" lesson observations, including from OFSTED, and was a member of The Senior Leadership Team in my roles as Key Stage Two Coordinator at a leading International School and Year 3/4 Curriculum Leader in a London State School. I have also led the subjects of Maths, Science and P.E.
My ambition had always been to become a Head Teacher. Then the pandemic struck! My experiences teaching my Year 6 Class online, whilst being on lockdown in Panama City, was a life-changing one. I realised the power of teaching remotely and how children can make accelerated progress, whilst developing their IT skills at the same time.
My strength is in my ability to form strong bonds with my students, based on high expectations of what they can achieve, and including an element of fun at the same time. I will help them to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to improve the level they are working at in school and obtain success in later life.
I identify (along with the student and parent) the key areas the child could improve in and we work on those consistently until the targets have been met and progress made. These targets could include: increasing the ability to mentally calculate or investigate mathematically; developing fluency and understanding when reading; improving spelling, use of punctuation or sentence construction in writing.
I have a wealth of experience teaching children from ages 5 to 12 and with a range of abilities; including children with English as a second language or Special Educational Needs.
I look forward to boosting your child in their learning!

2 years as Maths Leader, Curriculum leader and member of Senior Management Team
My teaching approach is to start by establishing a respectful and trusting relationship with my students. They know we are here for the serious business of learning and I expect their best all the time. But we will have a laugh along the way!
The aim is for them to make clear, identifiable progress in a short space of time - they need to feel they are getting better and their confidence will improve with that. We all have different starting places, but we can all improve with hard work and determination!
I also offer classes for up to 6 students. These are priced at 15 pounds per session.
