Hello! I’m a third-year Physicist and Mathematician currently pursuing an MSci in Physics at Imperial College London, offering online tutoring for students in years 7-13. Having achieved 4 A*s at A-level and top grades (7/8/9) at GCSE, I bring not only a vast amount of knowledge in Maths and the Sciences but also a fun, interactive, and tailored approach to learning.

I find that students learn best in a positive and constructive environment where both the teacher and student work together to explore new content and discover the beautiful connections between subjects. Therefore, during my lessons I focus on two main goals: optimising my students exam performance via adaptive lesson plans, and to show them the intricate associations between maths and science that made me fall in love with these subjects.

I always bring good vibes to the lessons and create a great bond with my students. Outside of tutoring I love to rock climb, play water polo and mix some music!

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring privately and through a company since I was 17. While working at TutorWorld, I provided both one-to-one and group lessons for students of all ages, covering material from 11+ to GCSE content. This experience helped me refine my teaching style, both in-person and online, as I learned to adapt lessons to meet the unique needs and weaknesses of each student.

In addition to my work with TutorWorld, I have tutored several GCSE and A-level students privately, primarily online, through word-of-mouth referrals. One of my proudest achievements is helping an A-level Maths student improve from a D at the end of Year 12 to a B in their final exam, all while I was preparing for my own A-levels. I've also successfully helped GCSE students aiming for grades 7/8 to achieve grade 9s in Science and Maths.

Tutoring Approach

Learning becomes much easier when the student enjoys the process, and this is largely influenced by the teaching methods. In my lessons, I prioritise clear communication between the student and myself, ensuring that the pace of learning matches their needs. Be prepared for lots of questions! This interactive approach keeps students engaged and deepens their understanding.

I encourage verbal explanation of my students thoughts so that we can solve problems methodically and reach an answer using reasoning. This method allows me to continuously assess their strengths and weaknesses, ensuring each lesson is productive and tailored to their needs.

My lessons are primarily through Gooogle Meets or Microsoft Teams (whicever is easiest). I use two cameras: one for face-to-face interaction and another focused on a page where I write with a clear black marker. This results in smooth communication and visual clarity between me and the student. At the end of each lesson, I provide the notes we've created, so students can review and reflect on them later.

Each lesson includes a topic explanation followed by lots of exam-style practice questions, which we work through together. Homework is assigned and marked weekly to consolidate the content covered in the lesson.
