I am a passionate teacher, who likes to bring a new, fresh perspective to my subjects. I am currently working on my PhD in psychology, and I enjoy communicating my passion of both psychology and English to learners and help them enjoy the subjects too!
In my free time I love to read, play video games and am actively involved in a local theatre company.

• Teaching Access to Higher Education to adult learners.
• Teaching English GCSE to 16-19 aged learners.
• Managing behaviour appropriately through praise and sanction such as phones being taken away.
• Planning lessons and creating resources as needed.
• Providing support for learners during workshops and outside of classes.
• Marking assignments and giving feedback.
• Standardising assessment marking, as well as assisting with updating mark schemes.
I enjoy coming up with ways to teach a concept that might otherwise feel disengaging or difficult to the learners. I prefer to take an andragogical or constructivist approach to learning, keeping it in their hands and letting them find the answers for themselves, acting as a facilitator to their learning. I try where I can to be a role model of sensitivity and positivity for people of all backgrounds and circumstances, as I feel that every single person, no matter what, deserves the right to a full education.
