I am an experienced and successful teacher currently leading the A Level Law course and teaching Criminology at a well respected Sixth Form in Essex, and am passionate about my subjects and helping my students succeed. I am familiar with the exam board requirements and can teach both AQA or OCR specifications.

Tutoring Experience

I am currently teaching A Level Law and Criminology, and have previously taught Psychology and Sociology. I also hold a 1st in my Law LLB (Hons) Bachelors degree.
Through my compassionate approach, I have taken every student in my Law class up by at least one grade, especially with 1:1 tuition. I have vast knowledge of the content and the assessment criteria needed in order to achieve the best grades possible.
I am available to offer exam specific support throughout lessons and in addition to this 1:1 support, I also provide extra support via marking and feedback with a focus on exam progression. I have worked with students from all backgrounds ages 16 and over and I welcome UK based and international students or students studying abroad.
I can also provide support for Personal Statements and UCAS applications, to stand out to your preferred University.

Tutoring Approach

All of my tuition is online, through 1:1 face to face sessions via video link (through Microsoft Teams) available either video or audio according to the student's preferred method.
I am enthusiastic about the subjects I teach as well as a calm and understanding approach which I believe is vital to succeed.
Additionally, I provide students with the opportunity to receive targeted feedback on their exam technique through an optional marking package. Many choose to use this service during the exam season to boost their confidence and sharpen their exam skills. This package does incur an additional fee to reflect the extra time involved. Students often report that the feedback helps them improve their performance and align their answers more closely with the assessment criteria.
Available for lessons between Monday - Friday (8am-5pm) during term time and throughout the holidays.
Please note I do not work weekends.
