Mia

¡Hola! I'm Mia, a recent graduate from the University of Bath where I studied International Management and Spanish. I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, and have a strong academic background having achieved A*A*A in my A-levels in Spanish, Business and English Literature. I started studying Spanish in year 8 and carried it on ever since. I’m passionate about education and keen to help students grow in confidence and their love of Spanish, whilst reaching their academic goals.

Tutoring Experience

Having studied Spanish for almost 10 years now and having lived and worked in Barcelona for a year, I am fluent in my speaking/writing/listening/reading. I've also worked as an Activity Leader at an International School Summer Camp where I helped young students develop their language skills within a fun and practical setting.

Alongside this, I’ve worked in a variety of sectors ranging from marketing to finance, which have strengthened my communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills—qualities that I bring into every tutoring session.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is supportive, structured, and tailored to each student. I aim to create a comfortable environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and take ownership of their learning. I adapt each session to individual needs and change paces accordingly, whilst ensuring steady progress is made. I focus on helping students build understanding and confidence not only in the subject, but in themselves too. Whether it’s developing essay writing skills, exam preparation, or building fluency in Spanish, my sessions can mirror each student’s unique needs and learning style.
